Dragon Ball Manga Vol.13 Chapter 158: Goku's Greatest Crisis!

   

Summary

The battle rages on, with Gokū gaining the advantage over Piccolo in sheer strength. Tenshinhan begins to believe that Goku can win, however Piccolo fires a beam of energy from his eyes, damaging Goku's knee and rendering his right leg useless. However, Gokū uses Nyoibō's ability to lengthen himself and strikes at Piccolo, angering him even more. During the battle, the king sees Goku and Tenshinhan, but is told to run away while the children fight Piccolo. Despite his misgivings about leaving Piccolo to the children, the king agrees.
Flying towards the King's Castle, Bulma, Yamcha and Lunch find Goku and Tenshinhan still fighting Piccolo despite believing him to be dead. The group remembers Uranai Baba's prophecy that Gokū will save the world, and this gives them hope.
Enraged, Piccolo begins to focus his ki and release Kikōha from his fingertips towards Goku. His ability to dodge is limited and his staff is shot out of his hand by energy beams. Within seconds, Piccolo releases another Ki Manipulation Wave from his palms, an energy beam that collides with Gokū and creates a huge explosion.
